I conduct two choirs at present, Sarpazz and Vestbygda Choral Society. Vestbygda is an historical, coastal area near my town of Fredrikstad, and is famous for the fishing and whaling industries that have been based in its village of  Engelsviken. I had the pleasure of hearing the choir several times when I was music critic of the Demokraten newspaper, and had always been very impressed by the ensemble's desire to make music. It really is a great group of people who take their music seriously, but can party as if there is no tomorrow! 

The annual Christmas Concert is a great opportunity to let loose some beautiful harmonies in the generous acoustic of Onsøy Church. In recent seasons the choir has also organized spectacular concerts of the music of Erik Bye and of highlights from great musicals.
